Fencing for horses fits broadly into one of the following four categories:
- Timber post and rail is the traditional paddock fence. But this needs regular maintenance as it is susceptible to cribbing by horses
- Electric fencing is a good temporary solution but, again, regular maintenance is required
- Polymer rail systems, such as the Centaur HTP® horse fence, provide a traditional look with the benefit of low maintenance. However these are not suitable to use where there are other animals grazing

Tornado Torus horse fence provides a range of permanent low maintenance solutions for containing your horse and any other animals that may also share their pasture.
We recommend a double fence in situations where horses are present on both sides.

The R11/120/8 Clipex horse fence is specifically designed to fit Tornado Clipex posts and can be paired with the Tornado Pro-Strain metal straining system. Our horse fencing products are engineered to give greater durability and extended life, giving you peace of mind and helping to protect your valuable animals for a lower lifetime cost. Where paddocks are divided and there is a possibility that horses could be on both sides of the fence, we recommend double-fencing with at least one metre between the two fences. Alternatively, off-set electric brackets can be used to enhance the fence.
R11/120/8 combines solid vertical wires “stiff-stays” spaced at 80mm and an overall height of 1200mm. The high tensile line wires give excellent resistance to animal impact and the “stiff-stays” resist downward pressure. Close vertical wire spacings help prevent damage to hooves.
The Torus knot has no sharp edges, this helps to prevent hair or rugs from getting caught by the mesh.
