Gallagher BA30 Battery Fence Energiser (9V/12V) with Free Battery

The Gallagher BA30 is a lightweight 9V battery energiser, designed for short fences up to a maximum of 4 km (approximately 1.0 ha). Under normal conditions, it is suitable for fences up to 0.75 km. With a maximum output voltage of 9600 volts and a charging energy of 0.25 J (0.19 J pulse), it keeps horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and hobby animals safely within their pasture.

Long-lasting operation on a single battery

The BA30 consumes an average of only 34 mA, allowing a 9V battery of 55 Ah to last up to two months. With a 9V battery of 210 Ah, it can even operate for up to seven months. An LED indicator flashes with each pulse to show the fence is live. When the 9V battery is almost depleted, the BA30 automatically enters a save mode. You will hear the device ticking more slowly.

Weather-resistant and easy to install

The BA30 is built to withstand all weather influences for a long time. A robust IPX4 splash-proof casing and integrated lightning protection ensure the device continues to perform in rain, frost, and thunderstorms. For installation, a single earth stake of 0.5 m suffices. The included cable set for connection to the fence clicks into place in seconds, after which the wire is immediately live.

Lightweight and portable for flexible use

Weighing only about 1.6 kg and featuring a sturdy carrying handle, you can effortlessly take the BA30 from field to field, ideal for pastures where mains electricity is not available. The choice between a 9V disposable battery or rechargeable 12V battery gives you complete freedom. If you wish to use the BA30 with a 12V battery, you must purchase a separate cable set (005499).
